We define courage as the bravery to be the truth of who we are, to live from the heart, and to respond with love where it is most absent. The meaning of the word courage stems from the Latin root cor which means heart. Courage is the inner strength expressed when allowing the wisdom of the heart to guide our decisions. Change requires one to ignite and sustain the courage to believe in oneself and to act on that belief. It challenges us to embark on a journey into the unknown where new possibilities arise. To create a world in which all love to live in, we need to embrace the risk of uncertainty and mobilize the strength of the heart to walk into unchartered territory. Any other virtue asked for on that path requires courage in the face of difficulty and resistance. Therefore, we wholeheartedly commit to work and to live courageously.

Als Courage bezeichnen wir den Mut wahrhaftig man selbst zu sein, sich von seinem Herzen leiten zu lassen und mit Liebe zu antworten, wo sie am meisten fehlt. Courage stammt von dem lateinischen Wort ‚cor’, das Herz bedeutet. Courage ist die innere Kraft, die zum Ausdruck kommt, wenn wir uns erlauben, dass die Weisheit unseres Herzens unsere Entscheidungen führt. Möchten wir Veränderung, verlangt es Courage an uns selbst zu glauben und danach zu handeln. Um eine Welt zu gestalten, in der alle es lieben zu leben, brauchen wir den Mut, dem Ungewissen entgegenzutreten, und die Kraft, unsere Herzen zu mobilisieren, um ins Unbekannte aufzubrechen. Jede andere Haltung, die auf diesem Weg gefragt ist, verlangt Courage im Angesicht von Schwierigkeiten und Widerstand. Deshalb verpflichten wir uns von ganzem Herzen couragiert zu leben und zu arbeiten.

Ehrfurcht

Reverence for life is an attitude of honoring all forms of life. It is holding all life as sacred and accepting that all life is, in and of itself, of value. We believe that reverence is born from being connected and aligned with one’s heart, for with the heart we can feel and experience that nothing in the universe exists as an independent object and we can awaken to the interconnected web of life. Living with reverence requires challenging the values and perceptions that are predominant in our modern cultures today. It requires us to re-examine the way that we treat ourselves, each other, and the members of the natural world. It means recognizing the rights of the Earth. To approach Life with reverence means seeing beyond the outer shell of form and honoring the spirit within all.

Als Ehrfurcht vor dem Leben bezeichnen wir eine innere Haltung alle Lebensformen zu ehren. Alles Leben ist aus sich heraus wertvoll. Wir glauben, dass Ehrfurcht aus der Verbundenheit mit dem Herzen geboren wird, denn mit dem Herzen fühlen und erfahren wir, dass nichts im Universum als unabhängiges Objekt existiert. Wir alle sind miteinander verbunden im Lebensnetz. Mit Ehrfurcht zu leben, verlangt, die Werte und Vorstellungen, welche in unseren modernen Kulturen heute vorherrschen, zu überdenken. Es verlangt, die Art und Weise zu hinterfragen, wie wir uns selbst, einander und die Mitglieder der natürlichen Welt behandeln. Es bedeutet, die Rechte der Erde anzuerkennen. Dem Leben mit Ehrfurcht zu begegnen, bedeutet für uns über die äußere Hülle hinaus zu sehen und das Göttliche in allem zu ehren.

Intuition

As intuition we understand accessing the deeper wisdom within as guidance. We see intuition as a fountain of personal and impersonal truth that is connected to the greater Whole. It is trusting a feeling beyond the five senses, our gut instinct as a real and legitimate guide in our life, and through that, developing an authentic manifesting power rooted in inner wisdom. Intuition cannot be explained or rationally understood, but it can be felt by everyone. It is a sense of knowing in the present moment, it is the art to intuit something without having any rational proof, and following that inner knowing as the primary decision-making faculty.

Als Intuition begreifen wir die Verbindung zu einer tieferen, inneren Quelle, die von persönlicher und universeller Wahrheit gespeist wird und das (unbewusste) Ganze miteinschließt. Es ist der Instinkt, über die fünf Sinne hinaus, unserem Bauchgefühl als realem und legitimen Wegweiser im Leben zu vertrauen und dadurch eine authentische Gestaltungskraft zu entwickeln, die in der inneren Weisheit wurzelt. Intuition kann nicht erklärt oder rational verstanden werden, doch jeder kann sie fühlen. Es ist eine Eingebung im gegenwärtigen Moment, ein Gefühl, etwas sicher zu wissen, ohne einen rationalen Beleg dafür zu haben und diesem inneren Gefühl als primäre Entscheidungskraft zu folgen.

Kollaboration

Collaboration is the foundational practice to embrace the interconnectedness of life. It describes the active working together on equal levels. We believe in a shared-power model on the basis of the interconnectedness of all Life. There is no power-over, it is not about dominating but about being able to tackle the challenges we face together in a collaborative manner. Power-with is based on synergy, where two or more parties are working together to achieve outcomes that could not have been achieved by either one alone. Because when different people interact for a shared purpose, something that did not yet exist is born. Both sides need the courage and willingness to explore unknown territory for new possibilities to emerge. Collaboration is both a challenge and an invitation to embody the possibilities of our interconnectedness.

Kollaboration beschreibt für uns die aktive Zusammenarbeit auf Augenhöhe. Wir glauben an ein gemeinschaftliches Machtmodell auf der Basis der Verbundenheit allen Lebens. Es gibt keine „Macht über“ etwas, keine Dominanz, sondern wir widmen uns gemeinschaftlich den Herausforderungen. „Macht-mit“ etwas basiert auf der Synergie, die entsteht, wenn zwei oder mehrere Parteien zusammenarbeiten und Resultate erreichen, die durch einen alleine nicht hätten entstehen können. Wenn unterschiedliche Menschen für einen gemeinsamen Zweck interagieren, entsteht etwas, was zuvor noch nicht da war. Alle Beteiligten brauchen die Courage und die Bereitschaft neues und unbekanntes Territorium zu erforschen, damit neue Möglichkeiten entstehen können. Kollaboration fordert uns zugleich heraus und lädt uns ein unsere Verbundenheit zu leben.

Moralische Vorstellungskraft

Moral Imagination asks for the humility to see the world as it is today and the boldness to imagine the world of tomorrow our hearts know is possible. It is the capacity to imagine something grounded in the challenges of the real world today giving rise to that which does not yet exist. It is an attitude of holding space for the suffering, destruction and injustice of the world today, while seeing the wonder, love and beauty that is equally present in each moment. And to allow the latter to nurture our caring for the world and our imagination for what is possible. Moral imagination is the capacity of the mind to transcends the limits of the past and to embrace the seed of potential in the present moment to allow a new future to blossom.

Die moralische Vorstellungskraft verlangt Demut, die Welt so zu sehen, wie sie heute ist und den Mut, sich die Welt von Morgen mit dem Herzen vorzustellen. Es ist die Fähigkeit sich vorzustellen, dass die Herausforderungen unserer realen Welt etwas, das noch nicht existiert, zum Leben erwecken können. Wir sehen es als eine innere Haltung, das Leid, die Zerstörung und die Ungerechtigkeit in der Welt zu sehen und gleichzeitig das Wunder, die Liebe und die Schönheit wahrzunehmen, welche gleichermaßen in jedem Moment gegenwärtig sind. Und Letzteres, unsere Fürsorge für die Welt und unsere Vorstellungskraft für das, was möglich ist, zu nähren. Moralische Vorstellungskraft sehen wir als die Fähigkeit des Geistes die Limitierungen der Vergangenheit zu transzendieren und das Potential im gegenwärtigen Moment zu sehen, um eine neue Zukunft zu erschaffen.
